About Catrina

Catrina Cox is a DOT Consultant with 12 years’ DOT experience. Born and raised in the West Texas area she laughs when people bring up Friday Night Lights because she actually lived it. Football is after all King in Texas- but in West Texas it’s practically a religion.

She received her DOT experience working at the Texas Department of Transportation where she had an abundant understanding of IRP (International Registration Plan) issuing duplicate Texas titles, working on countless apportion accounts and taking daily phone calls from both the public and the surrounding county tax offices. Working on numerous IRP safety audits for new entry programs was something she relished.

Later Catrina was offered a position as the DOT Registration Specialist at a large oil and gas company where she would acquire considerably further in her career of DOT Compliance. This company was an extraordinary fast paced oil and gas organization working with hundreds of drivers, thousands of vehicles from ¾ ton units to units with GVWR of 80,00lbs; working with units including but not limited to flatbeds, heavy haulers, tankers, hot shots, hazmat, well service units and frac tanks running both under Intrastate and Interstate operating regulations. Her knowledge with UCR (Unified Carrier Registration), IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement), NMWDT (New Mexico Weight Distance Tax), issuing oversize overweight permits and working to keep all DOT FMCSR Regulations up to date was just a few of the day to day operations that she ensured.

Catrina came to a Red River DOT workshop in May 2014 as a refresher course. A few months later she was asked to partner up with Red River DOT. Since then she has been a part of the team traveling the country working with corporations in requirement of Red Rivers DOT services.

When Catrina isn’t working she enjoys time with her family attending her daughters cheer competitions, attending her sons’ basketball games and the occasional date night with her husband.
